About MX50

Built on State Pride.

MX50 is a state-vs-state amateur motocross event that gives riders across the United States the opportunity to represent where they come from.

What Is MX50?

Represent Your State. Race Your Best.

MX50 is a state-versus-state amateur motocross event built around one idea: every state deserves a gate. Selected riders will have the opportunity to represent their state at MX50.

The format is straightforward — 50 States. 50 Gates. — but the experience brings something different to amateur motocross. Riders carry their state's identity into every moto, competing alongside teammates and against riders from across the country.

The Concept

Four Classes. One State Team.

Each state can be represented by riders across four motocross classes: Supermini, Schoolboy 2, 250 B, and Open A. Riders compete for individual results in their class while also contributing to an overall state team result.

The combination of individual competition and team identity is what makes MX50 different. A rider isn't just racing for a finish — they're racing for their state.

Why MX50 Exists

Something Different to Race For.

Amateur motocross already produces some of the most talented riders in the country. What it has lacked is a competition format that matches that talent with a sense of identity and purpose beyond a single finish position.

MX50 gives riders something different to race for. Representing your state. Racing alongside teammates. Competing against the best amateur riders from around the country. That's a different kind of motivation — and it produces a different kind of race.

Founded by a Racer

Jake Kenyon

Founder, MX50

MX50 was founded by Jake Kenyon, a former amateur motocross racer who won two state championships and earned multiple top-10 finishes at amateur national events. Jake built MX50 from a racer's perspective — understanding firsthand what it means to compete, to represent your community, and to want something bigger to race for.
